An amalgam of alchemical elements such as Psychedelic Funk, Post-Grunge, Post-Rock, Math Rock, Jazz Funk, Blues and other ingredients from the universe can produce a MoMo, if one performs carefully cookery with bespoke magical tools, in this case the wood crafted guitars of Ari Freeman, built from pieces of houses he has lived in and beds he has slept on. In cahoots is the daring Dylan Hawes, traveller, romantic, dreamologist, and long-time Christchurch heavy minstrel, previously heard in Orkid, who has taken on the duty of Bass VI, a bass-guitar or a guitar-bass, call it what you will, it FILLS a room. On Drum kit, teapots, and various other percussions is Oscar Green, who besides being musical instrument technician fills his time with a quest to discover the true smell of the universe.
So there you have it. A MoMo. A MoMo for Christchurch, a MoMo for you. Come and listen.
