Three years since the release of their last album, "zero-one", Christchurch atmospheric-rock trio Troika are back with a new release titled "My brain is a receiver".

Sonically following on in a similar fashion to the largely instrumental "zero-one", the band has nonetheless reintroduced more of a focus on vocal-led melodies, with all three members contributing. The songwriting again journeys between quiet, melodic mood-pieces to longer, dynamic passages that build to a crashing 'wall of sound' crescendo.

Lyttelton singer songwriter Candice Milner is set to release her debut album on November 11th. Candice has been working hard on the record and is looking forward to touring the country to support the release.

“For the past year I have been perfecting a set of my own songs, I am thrilled with the outcome and can't wait for you all to hear it.”- Candice
