David Coleclough next Sunday at Christchurch Folk Music Club
David Coleclough will be performing at the Christchurch Folk Music Club on Sunday 15th July at 7.30pm.
Dave has been a musician for most of his life, concentrating on songwriting and playing many varied styles. Styles he loves are Country, folk, blues, and pop.
Over the last 4 years Dave has been involved with the Silver Peaks Country Music Club, singing, playing lead guitar and bass. He is currently one of the co-directors, and tutors a lot of musicians with vocals and instruments.
Dave has been involved with the Gore Gold Guitar Awards for around 4 years and has won many awards, including: 2010 - Best duet and male vocal and 2012 - Taking one of the overall winner sections, winning best male vocal and best gospel.
Dave is currently doing a Bachelor of Music at Otago University, and he also has his own band, a 3 piece called the Houdini's.
Lately Dave has been releasing some of his own material, and this has been gaining airplay around the country. He is working with Sydney based producer Paul Sammes on an EP, and doing some TV appearances.
Last year Dave played in a benefit concert for CHCH in Invercargill, with bands such as Avalanche City and Craig Adams. We look forward to his concert at the Folk Music Club.
Tickets: $10 members $15 non-members. Door sales only. Doors open 7.00 pm.
The Christchurch Folk Music Club is meeting at the Irish Society Hall at 25 Domain Terrace, Spreydon. This concert begins 7.30 pm. The bar and doors will be open from 7 pm.
