The Music Managers Forum NZ and the NZ Music Commission are proud to present the 2013 Official NZ Music Month Summit this coming Saturday 25 May at Q Theatre, Queen St, Auckland.

Gap Filler is a post-quake urban regeneration initiative in Christchurch, NZ that activates vacant sites with temporary, creative projects for community benefit. Christchurch was devastated by a series of earthquakes in 2010 and 2011 that left much of the city in ruins and many people without homes. 185 people died.
 

Two years ago Wellington sonic soothsayers Beastwars changed the meaning of heavy music in New Zealand with their self titled debut album.

On April 19 the band will release their second album ‘Blood Becomes Fire’. The record is already receiving critical acclaim internationally and being cited by many as “the metal album of the year”.

The MMF New Zealand and PPNZ Music Licensing are proud to announce the winners of the 2013 Music Managers Awards.

Entries are now open for the 2013 APRA Silver Scroll Awards.  The Silver Scroll Awards celebrate excellence in three areas – the APRA Silver Scroll for the best original song, the APRA Maioha Award for the best contemporary waiata, and the SOUNZ Contemporary Award for the best contemporary classical work.
