RNZAF looking for new Director of Music

The role as Director of Music for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, you be will responsible for artistic and musical direction of the renowned Central Band. The Central Band is the largest and only full symphonic band in New Zealand and performs for a wide range of occasions, from State ceremonial to public performances across the country. It also maintains some Reserve musicians stationed on RNZAF bases that provide ceremonial support for the Air Force and operate as Volunteer Bands for other activities.

Your existing experience as a conductor will be essential as you will manage all areas of the band, from planning and preparation of musical performance to technical training and liaison with other RNZAF volunteer bands.

This role is based in Wellington.

Requirements for the role
• Conducting experience equivalent to a Bachelor of Music is desirable.
• Bachelor of Music desirable
